Towers for Users
This is the ‘flagship’ course available under PASMA, and is the course that most operatives will need to sit;
How to safely assemble, dismantle, relocate & alter a mobile access tower without risk of personal injury to the delegate or others.
• Legislation, Regulations & Guidance affecting working at height with mobile access towers
• PASMA Code of Practice
• Product Standards EN 1004:2004
• Assembling, altering & dismantling towers incorporating current best practice for fall protection, inspection of completed mobile access towers & completion of Tower Inspection Records
• Hazards affecting the use of mobile access towers & how to avoid.
Who should attend
Personnel who will be responsible for the assembly, dismantling, alteration, moving & inspecting of mobile access towers
Assessment of Training
• Multiple-choice questions at the end of the theory as well as practical assessments.
No formal qualifications or experience are necessary, but it would be beneficial if delegates had a basic understanding of work at height issues.
Combined Low Level Access and Towers for Users course £140pp + VAT
This 1 day course trains people in all of the above for Towers and also anyone who may work from low level access units.
Low Level Access Course £125pp + VAT
This half day course is intended for users of low level access equipment (< 2.5m) made from prefabricated tower components, such as folding step units and folding tower units. The course gives an overview of regulations, legislation and product standards and covers current best practice, inspection of low level access units and hazards to be avoided in depth.
PASMA Working at Heights Essentials £125pp + VAT
This half day course is designed to cover the essential points for those working at height. It provides vital information about the use of mobile access towers, plus an insight into the use of all forms of access equipment as represented by the member organisations of the Access Industry Forum (AIF).
It enables an individual to effectively comply with their duties under the Work at Height Regulations
Towers for Managers Course £140pp + VAT
A ‘must do’ course over one day for managers and supervisors responsible for overseeing the work of operatives on site. It is designed to ensure that when working at height using mobile access towers work is properly planned and organized, that those involved on site are competent and properly trained and that the towers are correctly inspected and maintained.
PASMA is the lead trade association for the mobile access tower industry and now trains over 65000 people a year. Representing the interests of manufacturers, suppliers, specifiers and users, it provides and oversees the industry standard training scheme and is a major publisher of safety-related knowledge, information and guidance.
A PASMA certificate and PhotoCard will be issued to successful delegates who complete the theory and assessment sessions at the level they attend the course which has a five year validity period.
