Level 5 Award - Managing Work in Confined Spaces
Who Should Attend
This course is designed for managers that are responsible for organising and planning work activities within a confined space. The manager may or may not supervise the actual job. This course focuses on planning, organizing and managing work safely in confined spaces including legislative roles and responsibilities, health and safety considerations and equipment requirements.
To provide candidates with nationally accepted accreditation of their skills and knowledge.
Candidates will have normally completed the relevant 6150 confined space entry qualification for the situations they manage and have managerial and safety awareness experience.
Day 1 covers all legal requirements and guides the candidate towards the short term question paper (2 hours 40 minutes) on the morning of day 2. In the afternoon of day 2 the trainer/assessor will guide the candidate to start populating their portfolio. Continued assessment process leading to City and Guilds accredited certification on successfully passing.
This City and Guilds certification is a lifelong qualification.

This is designed as a Level 5 Management Course, and is predominantly classroom based with the Assessor attending the candidates’ workplace on 1 of the 5 days. Delegates will require good IT, English and Communication skills.
