Age Limit

Due to insurance restrictions we are unable to offer any of our courses to anyone under the age of 18 years old.

Course Fees

All course fees are payable in advance, unless credit terms have been agreed. If agreed, credit terms are 30 days net. A minimum £200-00 non refundable deposit is required unless the course fee is a lesser amount, and then the full fee is due at the time of booking. Deposit secures the booking. Full fees are to be paid as notified or the Company reserves the right to cancel the remainder of the course and test. The client is responsible for the payment of all costs as shown on the confirmation form, regardless of any third party offer or agreement to pay all or part of the costs.

Course Cancellation

Full refund less 20% will be made for written cancellations received at least 7 working days prior to commencement of the course. Later cancellations or non-attendance of the course will render the client liable for the total course fees.

Monies Outstanding

Any account outstanding beyond our settlement terms will be passed for collection by means of County Court Judgement and will be subject to a surcharge of £80.00 to cover the cost incurred. Such costs will also be subject to any other costs incurred in obtaining settlement.

Interest Charges

A charge of 3.75% per month will be made if an invoice is not paid by the due date. The company also reserve the right to vary the rate of interest charged.

Retention of Title

All goods, services, licences and certificates will remain the property of the Company until the fee has been paid in full, and the client shall remain bailee only until full payment has been made. Non-receipt of certificates must be notified to us within 1 month of the date of training – failure to notify us of this within that timescale will incur a further cost for replacement certificates to be issued.

Funded Training

For any training completed through either the Skills for the Workplace, PLA or React+,  you will be required to pay a deposit of £250.00 to confirm your space. Your deposit will be returned to you once you have completed your training. Should you fail to attend, cancel your training or request to move dates within the cancellation window of 7 working days, you will lose your deposit fee paid. You can see our full cancellation policy above and on the email sent to you with your joining instructions. No training will be confirmed until the holding fee has been paid, and this will only be accepted by bank transfer, we are unable to take card payments to pay a holding fee.

Queries

Any query by the client relating to payment must be notified to the Company within 14 days of the date of invoice/order form.

Course Cancellation or deferment

The Company reserves the right to cancel or defer any course, due to circumstances beyond the control of the Company.

It is a Driving Standards Agency requirement that all candidates produce a current driving licence prior to commencement of all Driver Certificate of Professional Competence courses. Therefore, you will be required to bring your current driving licence with you on the appointed day. COTS will share your data with the DSA, for the purpose of recording completed training hours. Your personal details will not be shared with any other unauthorized person or body.
