Day 1

• Understand Operator Licence requirements
• Interpret the OCRS (Operator Compliance Risk Score) system
• Apply the rules of Drivers’ Hours & Working Time Directive
• Maintain compliant tachograph and drivers’ hours records
• Manage Planned Preventative Maintenance effectively
• Verify driver licensing standards
• Ensure safe loading practices
• Complete a Day 1 knowledge quiz to consolidate understanding

Day 2

• Understand procedures for incident reporting
• Review relevant traffic law and enforcement practices
• Discuss inspection procedures and Public Inquiries
• Recognise the causes and implications of bridge strikes
• Apply rules regarding vehicle weights and dimensions
• Understand London-specific requirements including the London Lorry Ban, Direct Vision Standards, and Low Emission Zones
• Learn about the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS)
• Promote safety for vulnerable road users
