Course Overview

The LOLER & PUWER Awareness course provides essential knowledge of the legal responsibilities and practical requirements under the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER) 1998 and the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) 1998.

This course is suitable for managers, supervisors, operatives, and safety personnel who work with or oversee the use of work equipment and lifting operations. Learners will gain an understanding of how to comply with UK health and safety legislation, helping to ensure equipment is used correctly, maintained properly, and risks are effectively managed.

Assessment Methods

This course is assessed through a classroom-based written theory quiz. Learners must demonstrate understanding of the key legal requirements and safe practices associated with LOLER and PUWER.

Additional Information

Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and possess an adequate level of English literacy to fully engage with the course content and complete the assessment. This course is particularly beneficial when combined with practical equipment training or safety inspection roles.
